Consultant Green and I are thankful to serve the St. Petersburg District in this New Season. We are believing God for increase and overflow for all of us.

In this Post Pandemic season, we have a great opportunity to renew, refocus, reset our ministries to serve this present age. Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, what shall appear for them that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.

We pray that we will all commit to making our church and communities better. We trust in God! I don’t believe He brought us this far to leave us. Better days are Coming! The Best is not behind Us but the Best is Yet to Come!

PRESIDING ELDER DR. DAVID W. GREEN, SR.

Presiding Elder Dr. David W. Green, Sr., the youngest of five children, was born to the late Presiding Elder Henry and Mrs. Irene Green in Miami, Florida. Dr. Green began his formal education in the public schools of Orlando, Florida at Richmond Heights Elementary School, Carver Junior High School and graduated from Oak Ridge High School. He is a graduate of Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia, and Turner Theological Seminary at the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He holds the Doctor of Ministry Degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. [Dissertation topic, “Developing a Ministry to Address End of Life Issues in the African American Community”].

On October 10, 2025, Bishop Marvin C. Zanders, II, appointed Reverend Dr. Green the Presiding Elder of the St. Petersburg District of the Eleventh Episcopal District, AME Church. He is the immediate former Senior Pastor of Saint Stephen African Methodist Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, Florida, where he served for nine years, 2016-2025. He also previously served as the Senior Pastor of Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church in Tampa Florida from 2012-2016 and Mount Olive African Methodist Episcopal Church in Orlando, Florida from 2004-2008. In 1993, he was appointed the Senior Pastor of Greater Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Gainesville, Florida and served that congregation for 11 years. Under his leadership, Greater Bethel relocated and built a new church facility. Additionally, he pastored St. Stephen AME Church in Bradenton, Florida, 1989-1993. Dr. Green’s ministry encompassed a holistic realm enabling him to provide ministry to a diverse population of people.

• Delegate, General Conference of the A.M.E. Church (1992, 1996, 2000,2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2021,2024)

• Member, Rotary Club Inc. (2008 – Present)

• Former Chaplain, University Florida Fighting Gator Football Team (1996 – 2004, 2011 – 2016)

• 2017 Turner Theological Seminary Hall of Fame Inductee

Reverend Green’s life, dedication, and commitment are exemplary of a true Prophet of God. He is married to Kimberly C. Green, and they have one son, Reverend David William Green, Jr. He is the brother of the late Minerva Green, Sgt. Paul James Green – Ret., Presiding Elder Dr. Henry E. Green, Jr., Reverend Dr. John F. Green, and Bishop Samuel L. Green, Sr.

CONSULTANT KIMBERLY CEPHUS GREEN

Consultant Green hails from the great state of Alabama. Her mother and sister in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She has lived in Florida for over 40 years. She has been married since 1998 to Presiding Elder Dr. David W. Green, Sr. -St. Petersburg District. She has one son, David W. Green, Jr. who is a graduate of Santa Fe College, the University of Florida and the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University in Richmond Virginia, where he is pursuing his Doctor of Ministry degree. He currently serves as Senior Pastor of Mt. Olive AME Church in Evinston, Florida. She is a proud graduate of Tuskegee University, following in her parents and sister’s footsteps by attending an HBCU.

She is currently employed by the University Athletic Association, Inc. (UAA) at the University of Florida. The UAA manages intercollegiate sports at UF. She has worked at the UAA for 30 years in various capacities. She began in academics and transitioned to administration in 2006 where she continues to serve as an Associate Athletics Director and is primarily responsible for managing day to day operations of the compliance department.

Her volunteer activities include:

• UF Goodwill Gators Program – Gator Tracks

• Duval Early Learning Academy classroom sponsor

Her civic affiliations include:
